Cages!

All of our cute little hamsters need somewhere to live. You can buy the small cages at petco but they are not recommended. They need at least 450 square inches of space. Make sure to put your hamster cage away from the window because they could die from the heat. You might be wondering what goes inside of a hamster cage. Most important is bedding. There is good and bad bedding. Stay away from cedar or scented bedding and steer towards aspen and paper based bedding. Your hamster will also need a wheel. Dwarf hamsters need at least an 8 inch wheel. Syrian hamsters need an 8-12 inch wheel. If they are any small they might have back problems. Make sure to but a solid wheel and not ones with wire or else they could get their foot stuck and give them bumblefoot. They need food and water which I will talk about another time. Any other toys are necessary but they still enjoy them.
